About Aura Ashworth

I write paranormal romance for readers who want to be entertained out loud: banter that bites, slow burns that pay off, and open-door heat between two people who'd rather fight the whole world than lose each other.

I've been telling stories most of my life. I started writing fanfiction in my teens, took it seriously in my twenties, and found out I'm happiest at length: most of what I wrote ran long, and a couple of stories grew to epic size. Along the way I studied Literature and Linguistics, which explains a lot. I love building worlds down to their lore, and I've been known to invent a language, or write the poems and songs a story needs.

Friends to lovers is my favorite trope. My specialty is what I call the reverse slow burn: two people share a moment early on, just once, and then the slow burn is everything it takes to find their way back to it.

Every Rogues book starts as a detailed plan, chapter by chapter and scene by scene: who wants what, what it costs, where the joke lands and where it hurts. Then the real work: writing, rewriting and several rounds of editing until each chapter earns its place.

The Rogues follows Lou and Joe, best friends thrown out of their pack by the relatives who stole his grandfather's throne. Five books are planned; three are out by the end of 2026. And with more stories started than I can count, I'm thrilled to finally begin bringing them to you.

Aura Ashworth is the pen name I write romance under, so my wolves and my day job never have to meet. You can find the books in Kindle+, the free bonus scene on this site, and occasional news in the newsletter.
